Linet Huamán Velásquez is a Peruvian graphic designer based in Harlem, NYC.

She trained and worked in the design industry in Peru before earning a BFA in graphic design from the School of Visual Arts. Linet is currently working as a senior designer at Penguin Random House (PRH).

In addition to her design work, she is a founding board member of the People of Color at PRH Employee Resource Group, which empowers the POC community to bravely show up as their authentic selves. In 2018, she participated in the Penguin Stories event, where she had the opportunity to share her personal experiences as an immigrant moving from Lima, Peru to pursue a design career in NYC.

Linet has worked on covers such as Yes We Did: Photos and Behind-the-Scenes Stories Celebrating Our First African American President with a Foreword by Barack Obama; Superbugs: The Race to Stop an Epidemic, which became an international bestseller; and The XX Brain, which became a New York Times bestseller.
